How to Navigate My Pools

The My Pools page is the main console to access all the pools you've joined.
If there's a page to bookmark on our site, this IS THE ONE!

From here, you can:

  1. Change Pool Handles
  2. Start / Join a Pool
  3. View Past Pools
  4. Access Joined Pools
My Pools

1. Change Pool Handles

Pool handles are the names you use to play in pools. While the same handle can be joined to multiple pools, unique handles need to be joined when playing multiple entries in the same pool.

You can change pool handles by selecting it from the Select Pool Handle dropdown.

However, with the redesign, all your joined pools and handles will now be displayed regardless of which handle is selected, but the page will reflect the selected handle with the Pool Card Header indicating whether it is joined (or not joined) to the pool.
See illustration in Pool Card Header section below for example.

Meaning, you can now do the following much more easily across all your pools and handles no matter what handle is selected:

Tip:
You can manage your pool handles from the My Handles page.

2. Start / Join a Pool

To start your own pool:

  1. Click the Start Pool button
  2. You will be taken to our Pool Configuration Wizard, which will step you through the pool creation process.

To join a pool:

  1. Click the Join Pool button
  2. You will be taken to our Join Pool page
  3. From there, you can:
    • Join any active Public pool
    • Search or Join any active Private pool (note you will need the Pool Password to join)

3. View Past Pools

All pools played on OPJ are kept for historical purposes so you can relive days of glory (or obscurity 😄) from previously played pools.

You can toggle between active and past (or archived) pools by clicking the corresponding Active Pools and Archived Pools tabs.

With the redesign, we've introduced the Trophy Case tab listing only the past pools where we've declared you a winner, including winning pool handles that you've hidden.

4. Access Joined Pool

Each pool you've joined is displayed in its own Pool Card, and with the redesign, it now shows all the handles joined too!

The pool card contains 3 parts:

  1. Pool Card Header
  2. Pool Card Body
  3. Pool Card Footer

The following screen shot illustrates the 3 parts:

Pool Card Parts

Pool Card Header

The pool card header shows the pool name, league, season and format, and with the redesign, it's now also a visual aid to indicate whether the selected handle is joined (or not joined) to a pool.

The following screen shot example with callout illustrates the different pool card header conventions for the selected DemoUser2 handle:

My Pools

Tips:
Click/tap the blue pool card header to "enter" the pool as the selected handle. When pool is active, you will be taken to the pool's pick sheet as the selected handle.
Note that grey pool card headers are purposely not clickable because the selected handle is not joined to those pools.

Pool Card Body

The pool card body packs lots of key information.

The following screen shot with callouts illustrates the redesigned layout:

The following table describes each column of the pool card body with applicable conventions and functionality:
